There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style. Perfect for a moment spent catching up with old mates.

Bottle at the Fiddler, Den Haag. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, aromatic hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light watery woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle @ O’learys, Copenhagen Airport. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, weak grass, very light fruit. Flavor is light sweet, malty, light fruit, little gras. Thin to medium body, average carbonation. Doh, must be the most boring IPA i ever had. 151015

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle at the O'Learys, CPH, Denmark. Clear golden color with a big rocky white head. Dry malty aroma... The flavor is mild malty dryness and some distant echoes of hops. Calling this an IPA is a crime against the humanity. Badbadbad! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Pours a clear orange with an off-white head. Sweet and bitter with aromas of gunsmoke hops. Also aromas of caramel malts. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Long, quite bitter finish.

Bottle from a Viking Line ferry. BB Jan 2016. Clear golden colour, with an off-white head showing some lace and retaining moderately well. Bubbling a lot. The nose is barely there - I get faint notes of malts and caramel, paper, and a bit of a peppery hint. Tastes similarily, it’s quite malty and papery, and only a stinging herbal bitterness to be found in the overall watery palate. Duh, if this is an IPA, then where are the hops? Strong carbonation, dry finish. An utterly pointless brew.

Bottle at the Jolly Botanist. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - citrus and biscuits. Taste - grapefruit, spice and biscuits. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - more of an amber ale than an ipa.
