drpimento (2153) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 18, 2012
Served a bit cold and a small, cream colored head that quickly faded to zip and no lace. Color is a clear amber copper with a couple of sneaky bubble trails. Aroma is malt, toast, hint of toffee. Flavor is like nose, more robust and also the carbonic tang to balance, oh and it just occured to me baking soda. Body and carbonation are ok. Finish is like flavor and of average length.

A dark mahogany amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet malty water with definite oxidation. In mouth, sweet malt, faint hops, watery and boring. Passed due. BB March 2010.

Grima (2070) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - SEP 13, 2011
Copper colored pale ale with a flat short-lived head. The beer smells very sweet, subtle hoppy. Starts very recent, pleasant malty-sweet with corn and a very subtle roasty aroma. The finish shows also roasted malty and subtle sweet hoppy.

rauchbier (3592) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - SEP 10, 2011
Bottle, from Rhythm & Booze, Barton upon Humber. Amber brown, thin shortlived white head and low condition. Gentle fruity sweet nose with just a suggestion of floral hops, quite thin and metallic in the mouth with some fruitiness still apparent but little else, short finish with a touch of sweetness and muted spicy hop bitterness.

Bottle, bought @ LIVA, Kolding.
Pours dark amber with a small, fizzy off-white head that soon disappears. Mild aroma, some caramel, light sweet liqourice. Some mild metal notes. Highish carbonation, fairly thin and watery palate. Flavour is sweet, some caramel, quite sugary. Fairly sticky sweet in the finish. Okay drinkable, but thank God, it’s in small bottles.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown colour with a thin head. Real malty aroma with a hint of fruit. The taste is all dark malts with plenty of fruit that leads to a dry finish.
