COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Monteith's Lemon and Lime Flavoured Radler is refreshing fruity lager, based on the original style brewed in Bavaria in the 1920's. In search of an invigorating brew, locals developed an easy drinking lager bier with a citrus twist - flavoured with lemon and lime. Monteith's Radler faithfully recreates the experience, brewed to full strength with distinctive hoppy notes, a hint of natural lemon juice and a zesty citrus finish.

I’m not a fan of these lemonade beers. Smells and tastes of lemons/citrus and grass. Looks like a witbier. Watery mouthfeel. Eh I guess it would be refreshing on a hot summer day.........

Clear yellow colour. Whole lemon nose but noble hops are also present, slightly minty, but mostly grassy.

330ml bottle.lightly bitterness, along with the lemon tang, provides the beer with a finish that is clean, crisp, slightly drying yet refreshing.

Bottle by 24-08-12. Nose is cloying lemonade, pours clear golden with a frothy white head. Taste is sweet and lemony, chalky and more than a little bit dirty. Light body. They have achieved a decent lemon flavor here, much more natural than most Radler.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2012 Poured a clear, bright light golden amber with very little head. Moderate to high carbonation. Aroma initally ginger-like then an underlying lime and lemon flavour appear, both a bit artifical. Taste a bit of a mix - initally sweet ginger then followed by a lime and lemon after-taste; a bit soft drink like. Light bodied. Finishes with a tingly lemon flavour, and maybe a hint of ginger, but overall has a bit of a lemonade taste to it. Good for a refresher!

Rather heavy handed lemon aroma, which continues into the brew. A light malt, with mild carbonation. Doesn’t have much of a beer character and comes across as a cordial given the heavy handed lemon and lime, or worse, a lager tops!
