COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moneith's limited release Summer Ale is a refreshing different beer. Its uniquie style dates back to the late 19th century when ther was an adherence to brew with distinctive spices. True to tradition, this bright gold beer's spiciness adds a real flavoursome zest-balance by a touch of Rata honey and four different malts. Try it ice cold with a wedge of orange or lime.

Golden and fizzy. Aroma of cheap lager and honey. A little citrus and honey. Not quite a San Adams Summer. Could be a solid session beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Spicey honey aroma. Darkish golden colour with poor head. Very off, slightly spicey flavor and aftertaste. Light body with high carbonation that tingles the tongue.

330 ml bottle bought at Great Food hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty during the ‘New Zealand food festival’ promotion.

Clear orange honey colour; Less than one-quarter finger head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; Fairly good sticky lacing with slight carbonation; Very sweet aroma of light Ale malt, with ginger candy, light honey, sugar, Shandy, soggy bread and light spice; Close to light sweet taste of Ale malt, with very light ginger, light honey, molasses, carbo, light bread, biscuits, light spices, lime, light sharp bitter hops and light grass; Light body, thin and slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is, at first sips, closely resembles Canada Dry - dry, and soda pop-like. Further sips reveals pretty strong maltyness, notable ginger extracts and fairly light honey plus some strong spice. Also fairly bready plus sharp hoppy spikes. Not bad… Hoppiness is no nose, lime and light grass in taste. Bitterness comes in spikes which strikes in the middle palate (sweet -> bitter spikes -> sweet) for an abrupt astringent semi-finish; Fairly dry after taste, very easy to mouth.

Comments: Thought this one would be as poor as its Radler Bier, and turns out quite a spunky Blonde Ale with good sharp hop spikes to give me a jump in my senses, though I can do with a more fresh ginger taste than just okay-ish extracts. An easy yet refreshing after-supper light Ale. Decent.

Pours a very pale golden color, topped with average white head that settles down quickly. Malty aroma, some sweet fruits and spices. The taste is sweet, slight soury feel, no real bitterness. Not the best one, really.

Bottle. This is ginger ale with a malty twist. Clear pale golden. Ginger, slight maltyness. Light body. Refreshing and all, but feels pop-sy.. Bit bitter asrtingent finish. Not altogether bad, but artificial, light.. weak. I like gingerale though, so didn’t have a problem finishing it.

Keg - MacKenzie Bar & Grill, Lake Tekapo. Poured a clear, bright amber colour with a small but somewhat lasting white head. Summer fruits and spicy ginger dominate. Firm mouthfeel with some light pale malt sweetness. Light to medium body, medium carbonation with a short, perfumed ginger finish lingering into the aftertaste. Quite heavy on the ginger but in a fragrant, floral - rather than vegetal - way with focus on sweetness owing to a low bitterness.

The head is ok, the body golden. It smells a bit spicy, malty, spicy-citrus. The taste is spicy-citrus, bit bitter and mild. Medium
