Sehr leichter Getreideantrunk, erfrischend. Trinkbar. 3/5/6/5/11/5

Not very exciting pale lager. Adjunct flavors come through. Had in Merida. Serving: Bottle

Bottle [325ml] shared with HogTownHarry & biegaman -- c/o biegaman. Pours a clear pale gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma: Oh, thatís not good: Corny and vegetal with lots of sugar. Flavour of corn, grain and sugar. Light bodied. Not good.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz bottle shared by biegaman with me and blankboy. Clear flat gold pour with a minimal white head. Smells like creamed corn and sugary cheap floral handsoap - ugh. Tastes like stale applesauce, plastic and corn husks. Thin body, really watery, quick-finishing, a bit of an ugly aftertaste. Not good.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
I drank this one while roaming around Progresso. It pours a pale yellow with a foamy white head that falls into nothingness rather quickly. The nose is corn and skunk. The flavor follows suit. Hey, at least it is cold. As bad as it is, it isnít as bad as some of the other Modelo crew. Unfortunately in some cases that really isnít saying much. Avoid this one like the plague.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Served from a 12 oz bottle while in Huatalco, Mexico on the honeymoon cruise. The appearance a bottle since there were no glasses. The aromas and flavors are pilsner malts with a good bitterness. A little fuller with flavors then a lot of Mexicanís macros.

Bottle. According to Michael Jackson Corono is the worst beer in the world. I suppose he didnít drink the Montejo, another Modelo-beer (or a bad beer, itís nearly synonymous). The Montejo has a clear, light golden colour, is light bubbling with a medium white head, not lacing at all and disappearing fast (whatís new with a Modelo beer?). It looks like an English pale ale, but this is also the most positive about this beer. The smell? There is no smell. The taste? There is no taste. Or is water a taste? In that case even water tastes better. Although I have to say that the beer doesnít have a bad taste, hust because there is no taste in it. Now I know why some beers are being served with a slice of lemon in the bottle, this one can use it certainly, if only to have a taste.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Okay, itís official... Grupo Modelo must run the country of Mexico, as they brew a million different styles of beer.... and each one tastes so much more like the one before it. This should be my last offering in Cancun to report on. It pours a clear golden into the glass, with a wispy head that diminishes to nothing.... no real lace. The nose is of lemons and plastic. The flavors are much like others; macro corn notes throughout a metallic twinge. The finish on this one is less pronounced, as it seems to close more on a sweet (corn, but honestly not terrible) note vs. the traditional musty, underdeveloped hop that is Grupo Modelo. The mouthfeel is thin and slick. All-in-all, itís another mass-produced pale lager that gets completely covered up by all of the other offerings from the same brewer. If Iíve had this one, I seem to feel Iíve probably had them all.
