1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Nice bubbly white head that mostly lasted. Pale yellow color with a sparkling appearance. Aroma of light grass, hint of cardboard, light notes of malt. Over the palate some dryness and light feel of caramel. Light bodied with an average carbonation. Light sweet and bitter flavor in balance. Light dry and bitter finish.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
12 oz bottle from Mexico Wal-Mart.A little bit watery, middle carbonation, the aroma doesnt comes out of the boltle or glass, gold body, the head fades into nothing lessen a minute, a little bit salty, the palate experience dissapears as going to your throat. Tastes a lot like Budweiser to me, but with less carbonation and poor-quality hops. However its better than Sol,Corona or Modelo Especial.Recommended only if youre in the most beautiful and diverse country in the world which is....of course México.

1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz Bottle: Another pick from a window in Cozumel for a dollar. Gotta love notes that say "SAME AS ALL MEX. BEER!" I’ve also noted it was pale yellow, bubbly, had a huge head, and tasted "yawn". Haha.. I should try to reproduce these notes into something eloquent, but I’m not going to bother.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 ounce bottle. Had it in Mexico long time ago and was pretty good. Probably not part of Modelo at the time.

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
OK, to get a few things out of the way: (1) I don’t like Mexican beer (2) I don’t typically like really light beer (3) I’m not a fan of the Pale Lager. Now, that said, I liked this beer. Drank from the bottle in San Miguel Cozumel. Pours a very light yellow color, and quite clear. Like every other Mexican beer, it has a fair amount of carbonation. What sets this beer apart from the Sol/Tecate/XX/Corona crowd is that it actually manages to have some flavor.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2009 After ordering this beer in Puebla, Mexico, and noticing how light it was, I just assumed it would be a horrible drink like Sol or Corona, but when I tasted it I was impressed. It pours very well and the appearance is very pale, almost clear, but has a surprisingly smooth flavor. If you want an alternative to the typical Mexican light beers, this is a good choice.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Had this in some little lunch place near chichen itza. Sweet malty corn flavor with some bubbles. Some kinda weird undertone that makes it taste a bit different from the average mexican beer. Almost tastes rooty, like sasafrass or something. Overall, decent for mexico.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottled(325ml). –Pale golden coloured, small head, bready nose. Sweetened water with some malts and corn and nothing else. Another boring and bad Modelo beer.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Out of a can from a sampler pack somebody brought back from Walmart in Chihuahua. Golden beer with a lot of loose bubbles that never really formed a head. Very lively on the tongue. Thin beer with lots of water and some corn sweetness. Another in the stream of similar pale lagers.

Bottle. Agree with Duffman on this one. This tastes like Modelo, but in a different (brown) bottle. Since this beer is always drank on or near the beach, it reveals itself as it warms.
