3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 arrogantb (1398) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Ok, first off, I caught a bit of burnt plastic from the flavor fo this not good but I continued. It looks good, cloudy yellow, smells almost like a lager but also slightly lemony. The flavor improved after it warmed and was quite interesting, I wonder how old this is? honestly, this has a really weird flavor to it but it is not bad. For $5 this was a one-time purchase. If this was ina six-pack I would probably buy one now and again. Now that I think about it, this reminds me a bit of Jolly Pumpkin bam biere.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 mzaar (883) - Varberg, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2012
Flaska 33 cl, Bon Preu-supermarket, Barcelona.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MadRobin (982) - Silver Spring, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Poured from 330 ml bottle at Jaleo in downtown Washington, DC.
Foggy, translucent bright orange amber with 3-finger pale yellow head and fair lacing. The beer clears and brightens as it warms.
Faint, barely perceptible aroma of light malt and mild yeast with maybe a mere touch of lemon.
Taste of bitter, earthy floral hops, citrus and a touch of some type of dry malt. Not unpleasant, but with little depth and nothing to balance out the up-front bitterness.
Medium body and high carbonation. Nice mouthfeel.
A lovely beer to look at, but falls short on flavor and especially aroma. After writing this review, I checked other reviews. Apparently, there is quite a bit of variation in this beer from bottle to bottle or tap to tap--or at least in reviewers perceptions. One constant though is that there seems to be wide agreement that this is one strange IPA.

330ml bottle. Pint glass. Enjoyed on oct´11. Pale gold in color, foggy appearance. Dense, off-white in color, froth creates a lasting rocky head with incredible lacing collars, spots & flakes on sides. Smooth upfront followed by increasing estery citric flavor. Earthy bitter mouthfeel. Light body, medium carbonation. Rough bitter finish. Slightly astringent & subtle malt. Easy drinkability. A refreshing beer met in 2009 Summer has become a classic drink to me in summer days.
