2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ibrew2or3 (5777) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 26, 2010
Pours hazy sandy gold with white head. The aroma is mild with light notes of spice, floral and acidic smelling citrus hops along with a sugary sweetness off in the background. The taste begins with a flash of sharp lemon like acidity. It then becomes more and more citrus tangelo – like as malt and caramel malt sweetness begin to murmur to the surface. It stays somewhat acidic from front to back with a sense of tartness on occasion.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bhensonb (9004) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 16, 2010
Bottle from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Pours a rather hazy gold with a finely bubbled white head. Floral/fruit hop aroma. Near medium body with coarsely frothy carbonation. Flavor is floral/fruity. It’s bitter, but not strongly so. Some pilsners are as bitter. But it is a good tasting beer, and it’s good to see craft beer in Spain.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 beernbourbon (1148) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 5, 2010
Bottle from WLV. Pour is cloudy golden color with a nice frothy white head. Aroma is dry hop, champagne, citrus fruits, grass, lemon, and a light cookie malt backbone. Flavor is surprisingly clean up front. A long high-riding metallic/ citrus flavor dominates early. That declines into and earthy bready flavor and the beer culminates with a malty marzen-like finish. Interesting and very very easy to drink. The palate on this beer is different than any I have tasted and it makes it mighty smooth.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Aquilo (488) - Berkeley, California, USA - DEC 8, 2009
Very pale orange/blond with a thick pillowy head. Fruity and floral aroma. Snappy hop bitterness with some floral sweetness in the finish. Smooth on the palate, but a bit astringent. Very good overall.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 beerguy101 (5206) - Newark, California, USA - DEC 7, 2009
Sampled on 11/20/2009. This IPA pours a cloudy yellow gold color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is wheaty, yeasty, and sweet with a touch of hops. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are wheaty, fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy. Not so sure that this is an IPA. It tastes more like a hoppy wit. Interesting though. Nice carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

7th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Lively cloudy beer. Very frothy. Light fruity touch. A pleasant surprise because I wasn’t expecting much from a Spanish brewery.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 alagnak (467) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - OCT 31, 2009
Bottle from TOny’s in Littleton. As an aside - took a lot of searching to find it in the RB database. Pours surprisingly light - cloudy yellow. Aroma is a nice blend of grassy hops and belgian yeast. Flavor is lemony yeast to start, and a bone-dry finish with a pleasant lasting bitterness. Reminds me of Westy Blonde, actually - though not nearly as complex. All in all - this is a really nice beer. A little pricey and - it wouldn’t score super-high against a lot of other IPA’s, but it’s quite good. Bonus point for wishing I had bought another.

Pours hazy orange-golden with a big, staying, creamy, white head. Aroma has apricot, grass and a lot of yeast. Light piney as well. Softish and highish carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of yeast, oranges, light apricot, lemons and grass. Light grassy and bitter finish with a slight lemony touch. Okay.

From bottle at D’Or, Barcelona. 26 June 2009. Heavily hopped aromatic ale. Cloudy beer with a white, short lived head. Smells and tastes like a bit too much of everything with some yeast adding to the impression. Like a Norwegian farm ale. only past it’s best of date.
