3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle pours cloudy straw with a white head. Aroma shows notes of caramel/toffee, lots of grassy hops, light citrus, and an underlying herbal quality. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of grapefruit, lime, and a relatively significant yeast presence. Overall body is moderate, somewhat sweet, and finishes moderately bitter.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy pale golden with a thick and foamy white head. Strong lemony aroma right out of the bottle, and cereal undertones. Flavor is light and crisp, with cereal sweetness nicely balanced by lemony citrus and a hint of bitterness. Nicely carbonated, with a somewhat lively palate. A very pleasant, light, moderately hopped Spanish ale. (As a side note, I have no idea why this has been categorized this as an IPA. The bottle makes no mention of that style, and this beer is far from what would typically be considered an IPA.)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a very elegant looking beer, really very pale, moderately hazy but not cloudy with a big fluffy withe head that leaves a nice lace on the glass. The aroma is very interesting, very grassy, a little herbal, a lot more malt than one would expect from an IPA, it’s kind of a grainy malt aroma though.... there is really no sweetness in the smell of this beer at all. More of that grassiness shows up in the flavor. I like the way this beer tastes, not really as an IPA, but as something else entirely... it’s not like anything i’ve tasted before. It’s got a rustic earthiness to it, but it’s very crisp and clean. The moderate bitterness plays a key role here as well balancing a bright pilsner-malt-esque character. There isn’t a lot of sweetness to this beer but the malt starts going that way mid palate, but the beer finishes very dry.
I’d love to try this beer fresh, as I assume it is more IPA like. I guess that assumption could just be wrong though, maybe it’s just this breweries very off the wall riff on the style. Maybe they weren’t even trying to make an IPA here, maybe that’s just the way it’s being marketed in the US... Whatever it is it’s perfectly enjoyable beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Doesn’t look or taste much like an IPA, tastes much closer to a bitter. Lemon inflections make the style of ale more hard to define. Not easy to categorize, maybe it was an old sample, but for what it was it wasn’t bad.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml Bottle: Faint aroma of yeast and malt. Poured gold/brown/apple juice in color with a small, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny, small, and a few large particles throughout. Flavor is slightly sweet. Tastes of malt, yeast, slight honey, and grain. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, yeast finish is dry.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
33 cl. bottle. Pours a gusher, with rapidly collapsing white head, with some lacing, over a cloudy, particle laden, yellow (SRM 4) body.....nose is light grass and herbal hops...taste is light malts, cereal, dusty tones with a light bitter finish....mouth feel is light, carbonation high (obviously). Not particularly interesting and the hops may have died, as they are barely there. BJCP 6/2/10/4/5

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Hazy yellow pour topped by a massive rocky white head. The nose is zesty and quite aromatic. Spicy and lightly earthy/dusty characer. The flavour is a little bit tart with a bit of honey. There is definitely some odd sort of infected character. Some definite crackery malt flavour - but it’s definitely seen fresher days. It start out okay but it quickly fades into a fairly watery, oxidized mess. I’d have loved to see it fresher.

Bottle @ home. Hazy light yellow/orange appearance with a white head, almost exactly like a Belgian Witbier. Sweet yeasty and mildly hoppy aroma. Sour, slightly yeasty,

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brother brought it back from Spain, and alas that is a problem, as the green bottle created a somewhat skunked brew. In any case, I think that it is possible to see past the skunkiness and see what this beer would have been like in its original manifestation. Pours a white head over a cloudy yellow body. Aroma, past the skunk, is very fruity, though not citrusy and with a touch of hops. Really slight bitterness. A little watery perhaps. Definitely not an American IPA, but it does make me wish I could have tried it in its unadulterated form. Oh well. Its their fault they use those idiotic green bottles.
