355mL thanks to the dfrom crew. Pours overly carbonated, clear ruby. Beige, short lived head. Nose is minerally, grape soda, heavy crystalline sugar and gummy candies. Taste is minerally, aerated, small chocolate, small coffee. Very light, drained of body, over attenuated, some earthy dirt/iron. Pretty raw and dirty.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 mansquito (2507) - Nueva York, New York, USA - OCT 24, 2012
New Beer Distributors, NY 330ml ($4.50): At least the US bottles don’t come in the idiotic green glass, but I feel like the brown is not much better, because this might be infected. Anyway, it pours a dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is funky chocolate and malts. Taste is slightly sour. Otherwise, it is like a light stout. Tastes like a Jolly Pumpkin stout, except that I think that this one was done by accident. And with the completion of this beer I still have never actually tried a CCM beer the way it is supposed to taste. Still, I gotta say that I don’t really mind the sourness.
