Bottle in Barcelona. My guess is that this is a Schwatzbier rather than a stout. Malty, yet dryness and a hint of soot. Not earth shattering but fine with food.

Mörkbrun öl med smutsvitt skum. Doft av rostad malt och en lätt surhet. Smak av rostad malt och lite kaffe. Mer en mörk lager än en dry stout?

330 ml bottle then into an English pint. The bottle was black; not green like photo. From notes 4/7/2012. Very dark brown with a huge foamy beige/tan head which had spotty light lace. Weak retention. Sweet roasted nose with a touch of lactose. Taste has sweet malts with light chocolate. However, also an odd fruit / sourness. Does finish dry. I haven’t had much Spanish beer in recent years so… hard to get a good base-line for other brews from Spain. This dry stout was ok.

330ml bottle. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on apr´12. Black color headed by creamy, light beige, medium to small bubbled, froth. Thick crown, good retention. Roasted malt, coffee grain aromas, slightly woody touch& earthy hues. Dry bitter, a bit acidic, at first sip balanced by sweet roasted malts. Subtle fruity hints in the middle. Full to medium body, moderate carbonation. Montseny mountain water close it to Style.

Dark bodied. Coffee, yeasty, roasted malts, dark hops, twigs, pretty nice. Very decent porter taste, roasted and not too in your face. Warming aftertaste. Better than expected. (33cl bottle from La Boutique De La Cerveza)

Bottle in a pinxtos bar in Calella de Palafrugells. Brown to black mocca and malty aroma. Also in the taste malty, somewhat seetish. Reasonable finish and somewhat bitter and dry.

Bottled. Poured medium brown with an explosive beige head.. just kept coming out of the bottle. The aroma picked up lightly sour, metallic, and detergenty notes.. airy, with just some generic black malts beneath.. smelled infected. The flavor found similar stuff.. ashy, roasty black malts at the core with dry, metallic sourness laced throughout.. metallic and roasty on the finish. Light-ish bodied with a ridiculous amount of carbonation on the palate.. this wasn’t in good shape.

Gusher, uncontrollable head, watery, notes of bubble gum, slightly infected, poor quality on this one.
