The aroma has some orangey citric hoppiness together with some toasty roasty malts. The taste has toast and bitter fruit. Crunchy oats also. An excellent complex beer especially given its ABV.

Cask@Great Welsh Beer & Cider Festival 2011. Tastersize. Orangeish golden colour with a minor white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, mild toasted notes as well as some herbs. Flavour is bready and caramel malty along with wood, herbs and some mild floral and grassy notes.

Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy - fizzy, open, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dusty, toasted bread, moderate hoppy, citrus, orange, grass, dusty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100430]

Light bronze and hazy. Big toasty aroma. The flavour is toasty, body is light. There’s only a subtle fruitiness to this one. Nice balance, mild bitterness.

Cask @ Swansea Bay Beer Festival 2010. Biggest head of the evening. Frothy, creamy, and stable. Nice haze on a golden body. Smells husky for such a blonde beer. If my eyes were closed I would think this was a dark beer. Toasty flavors are slightly messy. Has a long finish. I can understand the "toast and marmalade" interpretation. Grows on me.

Cask @ The Rake, London. This one took some time to settle in the glass. Appeared golden with a lasting frothy white head. Honeyish malt and fruity hops in aroma and flavour. Good bitterness. Not bad overall.
