Bright clear deep gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp, semi dry. Thin clean malts, trace of caramel. Back end brings mild ripe orange and a little apple. Light dry finish. Somewhat dull, but scrapes a pass.

Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 2013, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.

Clear medium amber orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, apple. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, malty, nutty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130124]

Uklar kobber farget. Lite skum som forsvant fort. Lukter malt honning. Smaker malt honning. Ubestemmelig ettersmak. Ikke god

Bottle. Yellow with a small head. Sulphuric bitterness dominates. Difficult to drink and definitely not an easy drinking session beer. Perhaps in cask form but not from the bottle, which I struggled to finish. Nearly a drain pourer.

fellebag (905) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 6, 2014
Bottle 50cl. Creamy medium white head. Quite clear orange pilsener color. Aroma is malt and grain with thoughts of barn, dust, hay and orange marmalade. Taste is softer. Of wheat, malt, citrus and grass. Not too lively.

djoeye (1838) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 31, 2014
Head fled fast, body dark golden to light amber, citric fresh scents with some sweetness as caramel, possibly malts. Fruity and quite sweet-ish taste, hops, fruits, maybe a tiny apricot, modest bitterness. Half dry tendencies in the finish, caramel malts, herby spices. Overall a pleasant beer. (500ml brown btl 4.0abv b@Kjeller5 Tromsø Norway, rarely necessary for a LFCfan travelling to Manchester to get this, YNWA, enjoyed@home)

Bottle. It’s an unclear, dark golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has yeast, diacetyl, caramel and some fruityness, with the flavor more or less the same. Some bitterness too in the flavor, especially in the swallow. Medium body, quite dry on the palate. Probably not off this one, but at least not very pleasant. 130607

caramel and some fruitiness in the aroma. Amber looking with a white head. Light sweetness and medium bitter. Light body with a lively carbonation. Overall OK, but not exciting.
