Bottle. Pours clear golden with a huge frothy white head. Aroma is weak citrussy and flowery hops. Very high carbonated. Taste is light crisp hops, nutty malty body, well balanced and easy drinkable golden ale, with a light dry spicy and herbal lingering finish.

Quite poor, actually. I can’t get anything out of neither taste or aroma, and in the end I actually wondered if there was anything in this one that was meant to characterize it...

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Off-white foamy head, golden to slightly amber body, a bit foggy, visible small bubbles though. Scents; flowers (perfume like), apples, hops, some pale malts, undefined spicy hints.
Taste; hops, apple peel, one drop lemon, two drops of grapefruit, small bite of bread.
Fruity fresh to palate. Mild finish, some bitterness, slightly dry, the peel fades away together with hops, tiny malt, and a tiny tiny drop of lemon.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle from Kjeller 5 in Tromsø. Dense and frothy white head with good retention and patchy lacework. Golden body, slightly hazy. Fresh floral hoppy nose joined by pale malts. Citrus to the taste buds, lemon and orange, dusty and earthy. Clean mild bitter end, semi-dry. Soft in the mouth. Refreshing and a fine partner to a rather spicy pizza. Just the right one to celebrate the return of the sun after two months of darkness in the extreme north (Tromsø 25.01.2014).

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Citrus, fruits, some floral hops and pale malts in the aroma. Hazy pale golden with a white head. Light sweetness and medium bitter. Light body with a lively carbonation. Overall a OK ale, not bad but not exciting either.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hand-pulled pint on 28 Sep 2013 during a North Shropshire Pub Crawl.
Lovely light coloured bitter, the off-white head stayed for the whole pint, I like that to happen.
No great aroma or taste, just a good blend of flavours: leaning slightly towards semi-sweet maltiness, but the hops give a good account of themselves too, with a fine, dry finish.
Nice beer and a pleasant change to see two Monty’s beers in cask form on offer after so many nationals had been seen during our Crawl.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pale golden hazy body with a very large, very long-lived, white head that leaves big patches of foam on the glass. The aroma is crisp and rather strong, with hoppy citric notes and fruits. The taste is light sweet with a moderate to light bitter finish. The flavours are not very strong, and not that exciting nor complex. However, the citric notes makes the beer very crisp and refreshing. Some notes of pale malts as well. Light-bodied and dry with a quite lively carbonation. Simple and undemanding, but thirst-quenching and drinkable.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml bottle at home in France. My first from Monty’s and it’s not that bad. A biscuity aroma, continuing into the taste with a dry, bready bitterness to the malts. I don’t usually go for beers that are too earthy and bitter but there’s a lightness to the hops and carbonation that makes this a pleasant, if not outstanding, beer.
