This is a light Belgian Pale ale with a seamless blend of yeast and hop aroma, such that you canít tell where one ends and the other starts. The palate is dry and slightly tart, with a moderate Belgian texture.

@Harrigans. Bottle. Orange amber 10mm white head. Belgian yeast up front with citrus spice and herbs sweet malty bread and caramel. Slightly sweet and medium bitterness. Body is a bit light but like the dryness and bitterness in the finish. Great beer.

They were sortof correct about the aroma.. "cant tell where one ends and the other begins".. because I sensed none of either. Nice amber colour, very restrained malty aroma. A slight richness in the grainy sweet malt character was about the limit of any Belgian character. This is more like a light english amber or generic amber but with some yeast character could jump back to its style.

on tap at the happy wombat in newcastle. freshly tapped but didnít seem that way. dark golden with a light haze and frothy head; messy aroma of turps and raw sugar; somewhat plain with very subdued yeast character, tastes as though raw sugar has been used instead of candi sugar, hints of plain flour and raw sugar crystals in the finish

Bottle from Coop, Trysil. Pretty much a poor saison. The low alcohol doesnít help. One dimensional.

Bottle from Purvis. Aroma of herbs and resin. Pours a striking orange with good white foam. Taste biscuity, grains were very apparent - I almost expected to feel then in my mouth, before the herbal resin of the hops took over. Just the right bitterness. Very sessionable, certainly not simple, but not so complex that You donít want to quaff in quantity.

On tap at oíconnels. Not a bad belgian pale, brilliant copper-orange colour with a thick, fluffy, white head which lasts to the end. Aroma is fruit and bread, ripe guava, pineapple, toasted white bread. Taste is sharp, light bitterness which is carried by a fair amount of carbonation. Light bodied and a dry finish. Iíve tried this beer on two seperate occasions and found it to be slightly different each time, I think the first time was near the end of the keg though.

From a bottle. Pours clear orange, tiny lasting head, sharp hops flavours, it grows on you.

Whispily yeasted in appearance with a single stream of fine carbonation coming to atmosphere. The body a pastel orange in colour. Holds aloft a tidy, tight layer of white that manages minimal lacing. Little bit too much eggy fart on the nose linked with hints of pear drops, cloves and Band-aid like phenols, haybales, apple pulp and scented talcum powder. Dusty malt starts it off on the palate. Carbonation is high but fades towards the swallow. Medium light bodied with a dry finish. Low bitterness, grassy, light hop length with a hint of orange and lime peel. A touch of pear drop candy and lychee in late. Bottled it didnít exactly rise my spirit, but I think this would be a gem brewery fresh on draught. Unsteady nose, average beer, but overall an easy drinking number. (33cL, BB 02/04/14, Liquor Baronís Ocean Reef)

Bottled, from Slowbeer, Melbourne, Victoria. Clear bronze colour, small head. Marzipan and spicy hops up front. Dry with light-medium body and clean, crisp mouthfeel. Buttercookies, spicy hops. Marked bitter finidh. Nicely drinkable.

From 330 ml bottle. Pours a clear orange-amber with a pillowy white head and light carbonation. Aromas of orange zest, lemon, hay and coriander. Taste is lighter than the nose would suggest but thereís sweet malt at first followed by a burst of orange zest bitterness. Creamy palate. Slightly sweet finish with a gently fruity aftertaste. Subdued, but not bad at all.

Tap @ royal albert. Hazy gold/orange with small, quickly dissipating head. Citrus (predominately lemon) and baked biscuit aromas. I didn't pick up any Belgian styled yeast but perhaps it was served slightly too cold. Lots of lemon, a touch of orange and just a hint of bread. A rather hollow and simplistic version but enjoyable as a bit of a quaffer at the pub.
