3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown poor with thin lasting head. Cool thin chocolate malt with an edge of bitterness. Hops have a well suited ripe fruit flavour. Slight dry finnish to the beverage. Nice beer well suited to the autumn weather.

From start to finish this one was an absolute winner. Produces up a rich and vibrant ruby cola in colour. The head a lasting, solid and creamy inch of off-white foam that daubs a thick lace. Smoky, peaty rough malts and herbaceous and floral whole hops on the nose - simple and enticing. Smoky, dry, chalky and smooth in mouthfeel. Firm and well rounded with bold and chunky dark malt setting a lasting foundation for the citrusy, herbal hops to frolic. Bitter malt and hop swallow; peaty and forest floor rough with a hint of dark chocolate, cola and fresh mown lawn. Got a lot going on and a rawness that would link it closely to a keller or Zwickel bier. I loved this. Sessionable and yet complex. A really well made ale that had me desperate for more.
