A nice American pale ale, a reliably good moobrew beer but not exceptional. 330 ml bottle in Hobart.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Poured a light deep gold colour with a large frothy head which slowly disappeared leaving minimal lacing. Aroma is very floral with some citrus and honey notes. It most reminds me of Wollemi Wilderness Honey. Initial sweet, piney taste gives way to lingering bitterness. Medium, smooth body. Not my cup of tea.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: very light haze, light copper honey with medium head and no lace. Light citrus and hops and sweet malt. Off dry, not sour and low bitterness. Hollow and short. Pretty simple and short. Clean.
Just lack personality.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I have to say that I feel a bit bad rating this beer 3 out of 5 but after my second questionable four pack in less than six months Iím a little disappointed . Iím not sure if I have ended up with two batches that have sat on the shelf for to long or if itís a quality control issue. I have not been able to find best before details on any of the samples I have, itís possible the shops selling them rubbed them off but itís ridiculous for a brewery to sell an APA for 20 - 22 buck a four pack without this info.
Ok so I have had this beer when it was an extremely well balanced session pale ale, pours well with a nice head and just a little lacing and gives a good citrusy nose (not a dry hop nose but good). Itís not a hop bomb but it does balance the hops and malt very well and I could drink these all day long, the typical Centennial and Cascade characters (citrus and grapefruit) normally shine through on the pallet with the late bitterness you would expect from Centennial.
In the questionable batches the hops have been virtually non existent. On the plus side, in these samples i can vouch for the malt character and itís pretty good, way to sweet and difficult to drink much of at all but like I said when itís good itís very good. For the price they are charging for this beer I expect way more. I will still buy again but if I get another bad batch I will be switched off for good I think.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours with lovely fluffy head that has good lacing. Grapefruit smell. Nice but not strong. Bit darker than most pale ales but in keeping with American style. Gentle in the hops. Nice bitter finish with hint of orange. Gets better the longer you drink.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From 330 ml bottle. Pours a clear orange-amber with a small but lasting white head and generous carbonation. Aroma is peach, lemon, flowers, spice and passionfruit with a hint of malt sweetness coming through. The taste starts off with peach and apple, before a zesty grapefruit bitterness kicks in. Medium bodied. Mostly clean finish but leaves a pleasant citrus aftertaste. Good Aussie pale that dances on the border of being an IPA.
