These guys mean business. I havenít tasted an Aussie beer at this level of complexity. This is big boy Belgian yeast character with a backdrop of quality hops and brown sugar ! Outstanding

330 bottle into trappist. Dark brown cola colour, thin head. Strong nutty/coffee aroma - quite pleasant. Bitter, tangy roasted elements. Leaves a lasting burnt taste to the palette.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
There are parts of this I enjoy others I really really donít. Its more than a wee bit thin for me. There is no head or carbonation it seems flat and even though there is a nice roasty malt, chocolate after taste it is missing that rich in depth roasty maltieness that is nice with a brown ale. Not sure what all the hops are contributing but not really getting it. The ABV is nice enough though, bought as a night cap and thats what it is doing.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a dark murky brown with dense light tan coloured head. Disappears super quickly to leave on the thinnest film. Aromas of colour, fruity hops, roasted grain and grain alcohol. Not overly pleasant. Flavours of roasted bitter grains, resiny hop bitterness andalcohol. Medium to thin mouthfeel. Dont like it to be honest.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. A murky brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, malt, caramel, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, cocoa, alcohol, malt, and citrusy hops, leading to a dry, bitter, and alcoholic finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of maneliquor. Pours a hazy dark nutty brown with a frothy and lacing off-white head. Sweet roasty nose with a little aromatic hops. Rich body, carbonation is a little excessive, massive roasty coffee notes with some raisin touches, heavy hops - slightly citrusy with a roasty bitterness. A little funk lurking. Another interesting Moon Dog beer. 030612
