4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 HopRedHead (151) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 30, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a dark opaque apricot orange with a short lasting 2cm head and thin lacing. Smells like lemon peel, touch of passionfruit and a heavy yeast. Taste is an upfront pale ale sweetness but balanced out by a Belgian tasting yeast and malt complexity. Says 34 ibu but tastes more bitter than that. Lingering malt and yeast flavours. Great beer in my opinion, really challenging and an interesting take on a double lager.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 CitrusP (48) - Newcastle, AUSTRALIA - APR 30, 2013
Pors a hazy golden colour with a nice fluffy looking one finger of head. Tropical fruits and a big hit of yeast in the aroma, reminds of a hybrid belgian style of sorts. Ripe fruits and yeast continue through the taste with a big hit of the chocolate malt at the end of the palate. Moderate carbonation. Never had a beer like this one before. Interesting and fairly tasty stuff.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jado (279) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - APR 14, 2013
From 330 ml bottle, it pours a clear amber with a pillowy white head. Picking up aromas of passionfruit, rockmelon, lime and a bit of malt sweetness. The taste has more tropical fruit, citrus with a light hop bitterness and a little biscuit malt. Finishes quite cleanly as expected for a lager. Interesting take on the style.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ALLOVATE (2142) - Butler, AUSTRALIA - MAR 21, 2013
Soft pfft, the cap releases and out comes a wash of tropical fruit; ripe, bitter, skin, peel, all in, lovely. But it mellows in the glass; the waft here a yeasty, bready and piney flurry outshining that initial burst of plump fruit. It sits a clouded orange copper with little evident carbonation. The head a flaccid sud of white that to its credit does leave a fine lace. It is barkingly fresh upon tasting, a light IPA lagered to strength (unfortunately that is all these nouveau Impy pilsners are!). Alcohol is evident in a huff on the swallow. Drenching with hoppy fruit; a firm bitterness is preceded by notes of pineapple, kumquat and peach with a lot of tight grapefruit. Dries out the palate well, nothing quenching about this but it does work. A hint of candied fruit offers a little sweetness on the very tip of the tongue and there is an unadulterated amount of malt presence that is grainy and raw, and welcome as I love my pilsners. Moondog have done well to keep this one real; I’d love to see it as their mainstay. Good doogs!!! (33cL, Liquor Baron’s Ocean Reef)

330ml bottle from Slow Beer.good strong looking body and golden amber colour. Nice white head and a grainy malt aroma. Thick in the mouth for a age and you can really tell that this beer has a big alcohol kick. Moondog, they never disappoint.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Maris (772) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JAN 26, 2013
From a 330ml bottle on 27/1/2013. Pours a cloudy medium golden with just the barest hint of a head. The aroma is primarily stone fruits with a touch of fermented apple. The flavour is big, with more stone fruits (apricot and peach), a touch of tropical fruit (pineapple), with a sharp citric bitterness which lingers. The body is full and the carbonation medium. Notwithstanding the advertising blurb, this presents as every bit of 7.1%. A very good beer.

330mL bottle. Pours golden with with a white head and a sweet citrus zest aroma. As soon as it hits the tongue I imagined sucking on a grapefruit pith lined with caramel. This beer has amazing flavour and I think I would have to say it is the best lager I have ever had. Cheers Moon Dog.
