3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33 cl bottle @ Vastarannan Kiiski. Aroma is sour with bretta, white wine and earthy tones. Flavour is somewhat tart and sour with white wine, bretta, some earthy notes and grapefruit. Finishes with some cherry juice and hints of porter-like roastiness. Unusual but nice. Quite straightforward considering the name and ABV.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
"Suicide cruise". Looks black enough with creamy head dissipating to kinda foggy film covering, bit mystical. Strong sour aroma has natural berry notes, cherries and black currant, salty licorice, lots of aroma. Flavor bit surprising after aroma. Bit roasted dry malt, ash, coffee, chocolate.. the usual stuff. Not nearly as much berries here. They are there but not overwhelmingly. Medium body, dry, roasted, soft carbonation, long roasted finish with berry notes. Interesting one but unbalanced. Arona promises more than flavor delivers. Good but expected more.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This porter mix pours an opaque black with a minimal head that rapidly fades to a ring around the edge of the glass. The aroma is sour black cherries with a bit of roasted grain and a nice bretty funk. The taste is very defined with definite boundaries between them. It starts with the sour cherry wine that combined with the brett almost makes you pucker up with the sourness and slight medicinal taste, It then rapidly changes into the roasted wheat flavours of the porter leaving the impression of almost burnt toast in my mouth. The beer then finishes off with a pleasant bitterness that when combined with the medium body and high carbonation leave you thinking ‘what the hell was that?’

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from "The Local Taphouse" in Sydney. Pours a black colour wirh a good brown head that stays a while. The wheat is really present in the aroma, together with some cherry and dough. Funky flavour from the wheat and brettanoncymes. Sour cherries, coffee, dark fruits, dark chocolate and some light licorice in the end. Good body with a lingering bitter finish. Medium carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. Overall a very interesting beer, I really liked it. This one is saved by the barrel cherrie wine imo, and it makes it a really good beer.

Taste is smootish, roasty and slightly yeasty with notes of bretta, smoke and leather with hints of cherries. Finish is roasty, smoked and leathery with a touch of bretta and sour cherries. Quite unique but a bit unbalanced.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle 330ml @Beer Hunters
Opaque black color, steady brownish head. "Smokey", kirsebaer aroma. Very light body for 7.6% beer! Some tobacco notes, toasted flavors, some cellar ... more or less toasted finish. Where is cherry? Where is bretta? Dissapointing.

211113. Bottle at O’Hara’s. Pours dark ruby with a small head. Aroma cherries, cardamom, gingerbread. This would make an awesome Christmas beer without the cherries. Not Bad.
