COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English-style Golden Pale Ale is brewed with malts from Canada, hops from the U.S. and English yeast. At the end of the day, Moon River Brewing’s Belly-washer is like any good mutt - difficult to describe, but lovable and fun to hang out with.

You know what a golden ale is supposed to be? Light, crisp malt, clean flavor. Easy drinking. That’s what this is. In fact, this is probably too hippy for the audience intended.

On tap @ Moon River / Savannah Ga --- Clear pale straw with a thick rim head and a thin cover, sheet of lace. Taste is thin watery wheaty malt with just a bit of clear dry pine hops (how do they do that successfully?). Very pale color for the style. Very weak for the style. Not a keeper.

Unique Ale. Flavor hangs a little too long for me. Great Bar. Beers made in the facility. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

5/22/13. On tap at the brewery. Golden pour with a small off-white head. Light fruit, hop spice, and bready malts on the aroma. The flavor shows a bit more hop character, a bit of spice, plenty of pale maltiness. Tasty enough.

Tap at Moon River. It pours clear golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is fresh grass, lime, hay, dough, earth and barnyard. The taste is crisp, grassy bitterness, light toast, earth, citrus peel, dough and a touch of caramel with a dry, crisp finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Clean, crisp, hoppy and refreshing. Very well done.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent light orange colored body and a fair lacing. The almost non-existent aroma was malt hop. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mildly acidic aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of wheat dough hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear yellow-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that evaporates slowly. Clingy patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbs, citrus and hops. Light, crisp body with flavors of grassy hops, malt and citrus. The finish is mildly bitter with a lingering herbal hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
