Very interesting beer but the coffee while pleasant in the beginning, wore on me as I drank this beer. Rich and drak brown in flavor, definite aroma of coffee. Flavor is that of Black Patent malt and roasted coffee. Fun but I couldn’t enjoy this on a regular basis.

Aug 4, 2005 Pour a black medium body with a tan head. The nose is all coffee. Dark chocolate and strong coffee dominate the flavor. A little on the thin side but a good stout.

Jul 2, 2005 <font face="times new roman">A rich black-brown hue has the appearance of soda mixed with chocolate syrup. A creamy, and thankfully non-nitro, tan head floats temptingly on top. I scan my surroundings; a small and intimate coffee shop. Everyone is sipping on piping hot espresso out of small ceramic thimble mugs. Back in the kitchen a gooey tray of brownies is pulled from the oven. A caramel glaze is slathered on the brownies before they have a chance to cool. Sip after sip confirms that this beer is all about the coffee and nothing else. Little malt sweetness is apparent as everything is awash in coffee roastiness. Front to back the story is rich and acrid. Texture of 1% milk and similar carbonation.

Apr 9, 2005 Had on tap at the brewpub in Savannah. Named after a coffee shop down the street - assume they use thier coffee in it? Pours a dark ruby red fading to black with thick creamy mocha head with heavy lacing. Aroma has an extremely pleasant roasted coffee sense to it. Flavor has the same coffee notes with some bittersweet chocolate notes but the back end is slighlty "green". Mouthfeel is slightlly thin - only real complaint about this one. Otherwise a solid stout.
