Imperial pint at Moon River. Hazy orange-tan, thin oily head. This is a really great IPA, expertly crafted. Clean toasty golden malt and a citrus hop feel that is really broad, and further broadened by the rosemary, which surprisingly complements the beer quite nicely, adding some cooling minty tones. Lemongrass, lime, mint. Creative and quite satisfyingly clean and bold. World Class.

Draft. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Herbal and floral hoppy aroma. The flavor has an interesting combination of rosemary and floral hops. Good dose of hoppy bitterness with the spices nicely complimenting. Nice dry finish.

On draft at Moon River, poured an amber color, with HUGE rosemary aromas that overpower any hops that might have been in the beer. Taste is all rosemary, nothing else.

Draft @ brewpub. Rosemary on the nose very herbal. Pours amber gold with a white head. Herbal rosemary upfront with piney hops Very interesting but a little too herbal.

Tap at Moon River. Pours a nice gold. Hoppy citrus, with big floral notes of rosemary in the aroma. Body is nice light and crisp with lots of citrus and rosemary hints popping through.

This was a surprise addition to the sampler I tried at the brewpub. I was told it’s Swamp Fox recipe with rosemary added. A little lighter appearance than the base beer; more of a gold than copper. Big rosemary influence in both the aroma and flavor. There’s no mistaking it. Soapy and citrusy notes mix in. Not as bitter as the regular version, and I wouldn’t really call that one all that aggressively bitter. Nice dry finish. This is good but the rosemary was a bit much and I prefer the regular version.

Not sure which IPA I had. On tap at the brew pub, Savannah. Peaches + oranges in nose, a bit tropical and mild. Spotty nice lacing pattern. Orange. Thick, syrupy, + same flavors as nose. Dry hoppiness hit late. Outstanding.

{thoughts} Bold, crisp and aggressive IPA that paints outside the lines and does it well.

{elements} Clear, deep copper hue; short, white froth. Immediate orange-peach-rosemary aroma tantalizes alongside spicy green cardamom and thick, biscuity malts. Creamy sweetness at just the right level, soft and brushing acidity; staunch sawtooth bitterness is forceful and echoes without being obscene; rosemary is well integrated though obvious in the long herbal-piny aftertaste. Prickly, pinpoint carbonation; medium-full bodied; creamy texture. Draft.

On tap at the brewpub in Savannah. Medium dark gold pour with a sticky white head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing. Aroma of rosemary of course which in omnipresent but surprisingly pleasant. First flavor impression is of rosemary, but as it warms up, pick up some nutty accents and some maple syrupy accents. Mouthfeel is smooth and even textured.

Cask at Aromas. Poured a relatively clear (for a cask) orange with a nice white head. Nose of big hops, rosemary. Hops are a bit fruity, though also resinous. Taste is a nice mix of rosemary, hops, and sweet caramel. A very well done brew. Mouth is average bodied and finish isn’t overly bitter. Overall, a nice ale.
