Actually a pretty good beer. More of a blend of a Helles and Marzen. It just didn’t have the malt, color, or gravity needed for a true festbier. Good sparkle.

Serving: Draft. It pours a light copper color with a small, frothy white head. The nose has notes of cracker, butter, and a bit of grains. The flavor is weak with notes of toast, butter, and a slight caramel sweetness. Light to medium in body with medium carbonation and a short but smooth finish. Not the most mind blowing Marzen and unfortunately just not worth seeking out.

Clear gold pour with a thick white head and lace. Light caramel malt on the nose. Sweet caramel malt and earthy hops on the flavor followed my a medium bitter. A hint water but a pretty good beer.

Pours a light copper color with a white head. Aroma is caramel, toast, grainy, and some spicy hops. Flavor is malty, caramel, slightly grainy, toast, and almost a little overly spicy bitter finish.

From the menu: “Balance of malt and hops…” Initial head and lace die to nearly nothing on the glass. Clear liquid; Dark gold color Dish soap smell from an improperly cleaned glass. Too bad. Similar to a British Mild. This is a malty offering, but there’s enough hop to give it some balance. A rich beer in terms of the body. The finish is mildly astringent—it dies on the tongue quickly.

very boring... not much spice or hop notes... all the beers I tried while at the brewer seemed a little warm and flat...

Golden color. Warm bready aroma. Biscuity flavor followed by a clean, almost soapy/grassy hop finish.

(Rating #2253)

Appearance: Clear, very light amber body with an exceedingly thin, white head. Smell: Sweetish, toasted grain hints with even vaguer hints of fruit. Taste: Pale malts with a hint of lightly toasted grains and a very faint caramel sweetness. A touch of apple fruitiness. Tempered Noble hop spice character with an altogether mild bitterness. Thin and lightly sweet for the finish. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A rather mediocre, bland approach to such a delightful style of beer.

Very pale amber. Crackery, lightly dry. Some biscuit and light toast. A fairly mild, straightforward example of the style.
