COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
the name given a new hoppy, low-alcohol pale ale from the minds of Brewmeister John Pinkerton and his talented assistant, Chris Lady, at Moon River Brewing Company. While Savannahfest remains the microbrewery’s flagship, it’s apparent that Slow-vannah and its session beer characteristics could propel it into become a leading, year-round offering.

Pours golden with a nice head. It has a piney nose, a bit astringent. not really anything to hit a second time.

On tap @ Moon River / Savannah GA --- Clear light amber, puffy rim head, partial cover, swaths of lace. Looks nice. Taste is malt that becomes sweeter in the palate, adding light bitters for a balanced finish. That’s all there is - simple, but also enjoyable.

On tap at Moon River. Pours a clear orange with a thick creamy white head. Aroma of citrus, lots of pine, earthy hops. Flavor of light fruits, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, earthy hops, floral hops, tropical fruits, with mild hop bitterness in the finish. Aroma is very piney, but flavor is a lot more fruity. Light, not too hoppy, but finishes easily. Definitely a very sessionable IPA. 8/4/7/4/14 (3.7/5)

Sampled at GABF 2013. A decent hoppy session ale with light bitterness and bready malts. Light body with a thin feel and a crisp finish.

5/22/13. On tap at the brewery. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Light hop character with some caramel and bready malts. Light, thin flavor, some caramel and light hops, but to be expected for a session pale ale. Not too bad.

Tap at Moon River. It pours pale golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is crisp, grain, floral, hay and pithy citrus. The taste is clean, crisp, floral, straw, wood, light citrus and biscuit with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth, easy-going session beer. Refreshing

Surprisingly cloudy. Good head. Light hops. Slightly grainy malt. Lingering hop bitterness.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a uncarbonated transparent orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy and malty. The semi-flat mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow mild malty aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of wheat hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear pale amber-gold color with a thin off-white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops and caramel malt. Light-bodied and crisp with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Slightly above average all around.

Tap. Golden with thin white head. Smells like honey, lemon, and coriander. Starts sweet then goes dry, but still has that astringency, also a bit lemony. Round mouth feel, astringent finish.
