COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our porter is a full-bodied, semi-sweet dark ale, with distinct notes of caramel and chocolate. Brewed in the loving memory of our Brew master’s grandfather, the Captain.

Had it on tap at Moon River in Savannah. Black pour with a fluffy brown head. Easy to drink with light roasted malt flavors and sweetness. Low carbonation, but that goes well for a porter in my opinion. Overall, a great beer.

Tap at Moon River. It pours deep brown with a medium beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, light roast, earth, chocolate and caramel. The taste is bitter sweet, chocolate, caramel, mellow roast, toast, earth and coffee grinds with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice bitter-sweet balance adds to the drinkablity. Quaffable stuff.

Draft at Moon River. Black pour with a creamy tan head. Lots of roasted malts and bittersweet chocolate in the aroma. Creamy body with deep roasted malts, touches of coffee and chocolate bitterness. Nice drinking beer.

Mellow, not too sweet or malty. Has a chocolate note to it that is nice. Good solid brew!

This draft brew from the brewery poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to medium sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque black brown colored body and a very good lacing. The mild aroma was brown malt and dark malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow dark malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt toasted malt brown malt dark malt and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Draught @ moon river pub savannah. Sweet, thick and roasty. Not a bad porter but not an awesome one either. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at the brewpub. Dark brown pour with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and hops. Medium body with a roasty character and flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a lingering chocolate aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap. Very dark with tan head with good retention and lots of lacing. Smells roasty and molasses sweet with a bit of burnt coffee. Nice roasty dry flavor. Almost flat, dry finish.

...had a pint at the brewbup. Looked dark brown in the glass with basically no head. Decent roasted malt flavors, with hints of chocolate in there. Finished dryish, with very low carbonation. Better than I expected.
