Fantastic porter. The nose is full of coffee and espresso with some chocolate notes. The beer is a dark dark brown with almost no head. The taste is sweet and malty countered by the coffee and some bitter hops. The palate is medium to full and silky smooth. Great porter.

Draft at the brewpub. Very deep brown color with a creamy head. The palate is also a bit creamy with coffee, light chocolate, some grain, and vanilla flavors. Just a touch of finishing roasty bitterness. It’s a little on the thin side but overall a solid brew.

Dark pour, fruity-ashy aroma. Lots of sweetness behind the heavy bitter roast which finishes with a touch of lacticness. Okay.

votzer (77) - Hixson, Tennessee, USA - AUG 16, 2010
Draft at the Moon River Brew Pub, poured adark brown with a tan head that quickly left the scene, roasted malt aroma, watery mouyth feel, metallic alcohol on the finish, with very light carbonation, expected a better beer than this when it arrived at the table. Looks better than it tastes.
