COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our wit beer (white beer) is an old style Belgian ale, brewed with wheat and barely , and spiced with Curacao bitter orange peel and coriander. The coriander and orange zest are detectable in the beer's aroma with a lingering, yet subtle "orangeiness." A unique one of a kind brew!
Moon River earned four medals at the 2005 Georgia Craft Brew Challenge hosted by Georgians for World-Class Beer. On Nov. 5, more than 200 lucky people packed the Biergarten at Atlanta’s 5 Seasons Brewing Company to taste the best beers made in Georgia. During the blind judging session, judges evaluated 35 beers and deemed:
• Belgian Ale Category: 1st Place - Wild Wacky Wit

Sample at the brewpub. Slightly cloudy straw color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, wheat and spice. Light-bodied with flavors of sweet spices, fruity yeast and malt. The finish is wheaty with a citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

Imperial Pint at Moon River. Awesome appearance..thick cloudy yellow-orange-tan. Interesting, almost an oaky wheat. Semi-strong spice character, well interplayed with the yeastiness and wheat. Medium to light bodied, very drinkable. Lots of sour wheat. Really forward on the lemon, clove..like a Hefe without the banana. The aroma has a little of a brewhouse feel which doesn’t work for me, but otherwise this is spot on. Great beer.

On tap at brewery - Pours, looks, and smells like a typical wit. Above average dept of flavor for a wit - definite common citrus notes but a bit more savory and complex than normal. Definitely solid.

Tap. Hazy yellow with thin white head. Smells like cilantro and that pearly white hand soap. Tastes grassy. Moderately dry finish, bit of graininess.

...had it on tap at the brewpub, and was rather surprised, was much better than I expected. Nice citrus and wheat notes on the nose. Looked nice and cloudy in the glass, with a orange hue. Light carbonation, smooth mouthfeel with nice wheat malt flavor. Finished slightly creamy with orange and corriander notes.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Moon River in Savannah, GA. Appearance looks like fruit juice with very thin white rim. Aroma of orange peel and spice. Taste is slightly bitter, not really too good.

Similar to Blue Moon, this beer is worth getting. Try it along with their others in The Sampler.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured cloudy yellow with a medium-sized white head. Aroma was coriander, orange, lemon, some yeastiness. Flavor was dominated by coriander and orange. Some wheat and a light Belgian yeastiness poked through a bit. Not very subtle and pretty one dimensional. Appropriately light palate.

Cloudy yellow in color.... Aroma of wheat, Belgian yeast, coriander... Flavor is slightly sweet and mild, notes of orange and coriander, spices... Finish is slightly bland, not terribly complex and fairly subdued compared to a lot of wits I’ve had... Decent

Draft. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma is wheaty and lightly sweet with some light floral notes. The flavor has a wheaty base with coriander and some flowery notes. Not bad.
