Our wit beer (white beer) is an old style Belgian ale, brewed with wheat and barely , and spiced with Curacao bitter orange peel and coriander. The coriander and orange zest are detectable in the beer's aroma with a lingering, yet subtle "orangeiness." A unique one of a kind brew!
Moon River earned four medals at the 2005 Georgia Craft Brew Challenge hosted by Georgians for World-Class Beer. On Nov. 5, more than 200 lucky people packed the Biergarten at Atlanta’s 5 Seasons Brewing Company to taste the best beers made in Georgia. During the blind judging session, judges evaluated 35 beers and deemed:

The aroma was typical for the style but weaker than most except the low end stuff, read blue moon. The appearance was whitish gold with a tiny head. The flavor was typical for the style but like the aroma too weak. The palate was smooth. Overall it was good.

from the tap poured a hazy light color with a good amount of head. Nice citrus flavor with a quick finish.

On-tap at the brewpub. There was a substance to this wit, and a drying peppery corriander taste. A little sweetness and a drop of citrus. But I could not get at the complexity. The turnover is ferocious here, so I do not suspect it’s been about too long.

The aroma was filled with coriander, orange peel, chamomile and a bit of pepper spice. Wheat was notable and a bit of lemon. The beer arrived lightly cloudy pale yellow with a low white lasting head which laced the glass. The flavor was pefumy with a citrusy lemon and orange character. Coriander spice was notable, but somewhat light and the flavor was a bit watery. The body was medium-light with a fairly low level of carbonation. The finish was dry with very little aftertaste. An OK witbier. Pint at the brewpub.

4 oz. sampler. Pours a cloudy, lemonade-like color. Aroma of orange peel. Mouthfeel is very clean and dry, with bready notes. Subtle spices sneak up at the end.

WBF. Nice Belgian white. A bit more on the sweet side. But it has a spicy side to it. Easy to drink.

I love local beer fests. You get to partake in alot of fun and drink alot of run of the mill brews. This one here is a prime example. Just your regular old wit beer. I thought it was rather refreshing though.

Draft sample at SBGF07. Poured hazy white color with a medium frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty sweet citrus aroma. Light to medium body with a sticky texture. Medium citrus sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of moderate duration.

Draught at the brewpub. Glowing orange body with a one finger thick white head. Good lacing. Notes of oranges, coriander, apricot and wheat. Tastes like your average Wit. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. FInish is lengthy and full of citrus notes. OK.
