3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a medium, well retained, beige head, with heavy lacing, over a clear, dark brown (SRM 35( body.....nose is coffee, lighter chocolate, cocoa.....taste is light coffee, cocoa, chocolate, toffee/caramel, finishing less than dry.....mouth fee medium, carbonation low. This is a nicely balanced quite good interpretation. It is more lightly hopped than many and thus is midway between an English Northern Brown and an American Brown. The only flaw is that it is a bit too dark, and that is minor. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7.
