3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at brewery July 12th. Pours a copper-apricot color. Big bubble head and lace. Aroma of straw and floral hops. Modest carbonation and significant mouthfeel. Flavors of melon rind, straw hops, light herbs, soap. Overall tasty but some funky finish notes of melon rind juice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the Brewpub. Pours a thin white head, with medium lacing, over a hazy, amber (SRM 7) body.....nose is hop spice, light pine, citrus, hints of cereal, toffee/caramel.....taste is slight toffee/caramel, hop bitterness, lingering long....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds a pleasant tingle. This is a not a particularly complex IPA. Although it is well balanced initially, the bitterness dominate on the lingering finish. But the real effect of the bitterness is much lower than the 120 IBU’s would suggest. This is not a "Hop Bomb", and all in all, it is more "East Coast" in its characteristics. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6
