kmweaver (2389), Sebastopol, California, USA Sep 29, 2009 Draft @ Flavor. Pours a clear, tarnished golden color; fluffy off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing; nice pour. Very light nose showing a touch of reserved mineral bitterness alongside touches of honey and toastiness. Lively carbonation. Medium mouthfeel: zesty mineral and herbal bitterness coupled to a toasty breadiness, very dry and crisp presence; refreshing, zesty hops and bubbles on the tip of the tongue; hints of green olives. A beautifully sessionable pils. Lengthy finish: toasted malts, light breadiniess, and a long, long, lasting mineral bitterness. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 10, 2009 On tap. Clear golden with a dense white head leaving laces. Clean, malty aroma with some hops. Medium body with a solid malt base and a distinct and dominatic aromatic hop finish. 110709 yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 23, 2009 From tap at Flavor. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Light grassy and bitter aroma. Light sweet malty flavoured with a crisp grassy hoppyness coming through. Bitter and dry crisp finish. beastiefan2k (1590), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Jul 20, 2009 Draft at a restaurant in San Fran. Its not too clean golden color with some visible carbonation. Aroma is lightly hoppy (lightly herbal), and just clean light malts with a hint of fruity lagerness. The flavor losses the lager fruitiness, which is good. There is beautiful white bread malts with just a bit of herbal hops and a touch of bitterness at the end. Its just beautifully balanced. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Feb 27, 2009 Pours dark golden with a cream colored head. Nose and flavor are smooth with a touch of grain, caramel and citrus. Dry finish. JohnC (2219), Mission Viejo, California, USA Jan 28, 2009 On tap at Flavor in Santa Rosa.
It poured a dark yellow color and was smooth and tasty. good beer Nik925 (300), California, USA Dec 7, 2008 Golden, well made, but lacks anything special. Much better palate than normal lagers. illidurit (851), Santa Cruz, California, USA Sep 28, 2008 On tap at 515 in Santa Cruz. Poured into a big pilsener glass. Clear golden amber color with two fingers of tan head. Nice thick lacing and substantial retention. Aromas of bread and caramel malt with some hop citrus that melds nicely. Flavor is bready with some lactic character. A touch of caramel malt and a nice piney hop finish with moderate bitterness. Kinda of like an overhopped Boston Lager. Great balance, perfect carbonation, semidry finish, excellent drinkability.
