3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear light orange, a little darker than the average lager. Aroma is grass, cracked wheat. Taste is bread, more grass, some spice from the hops. Pretty full flavored crisp and refreshing. Problem is a slight diacetyl note in the finish, which others have noticed so I don’t think it’s just this batch, Not bad at all, for the style.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Redwood Cafe. Pours a pale golden color without much head. Heavy on the hops for a lager, but not overpowering. Bitterness lingers after.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at Flavor. Listed as Lunatic Lager Pils. So not really a Dortmunder. Tevs. Moderate bitterness. A strong grassy character from start to drying finish. Ok but a bit too harsh for me.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap in Santa Rosa. Golden appearance with a big white head. Fizzy, grainy, herbal nose with some diacetyl. The flavor is also a bit buttery but not harshly so. Herbal, hay flavor. Wish it had been clean.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is rather hoppy for a helpless but pretty tasty regardless. It is a hazy orange yellow with a fine bubbled head and a lattice of lacing. It has a mild nose with just a touch of cut hay and citric hops. It seems like it might be a bit sweet but really doesn’t come across as such since it’s quite bitter as well. Some doughy malts come out as the beer warms. This is medium bodied but lightened by crisp carbonation. I would call this an American take on a pilsener. It has a clean yeast character but drinks like an American pale ale.

Very lightly hazed golden blonde with a good sized off white head that retains well.

Taste comprises pale malt, light bread notes, cereals, lemon rind, faint hops.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp close.
Decent enough helles.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ The Trappist. Golden orange pour with a rocky white head. Aroma is bread, dough, and a hint of toast. A bit of grassy hops, some nice floral notes, yeast, and maybe a hint of spice. Nice sweetness to the flavor. Plenty of bread, dough, and toast. Good malt character. Lots of grassy and floral hops. Slightly yeasty and mildly spicy. Solid.
