Courtesy of Sparky. Pours rosy red with ruby red hues here and there. The aroma is sugary sweet heading into honey goodness and a blueberry dark currant sort of mix. The taste starts sweet and rich with smooth honey and then gets into more and more near tart berry notes. Nice stuff. It ends a little dry and almost red wine like.

Bottle shared by Sparky...thanks Eric! Raspberry pour. Still body but shows additional shimmers of crimson, ruby, and scarlet. Nose not as assertive as the flavor but does show cherry, red grape, dark fruit, and some cocoa. Much more complex and aggressive in flavor. Currants, plum, prune, Bing, pomegranate, honey, and chocolate are all there. Nice depth of flavor. Man I love meads!

375 ml clear glass bottle. I was very pleased to wander into Yankee Spirits and find a nice selection of meads from Moonlight Meadery. I shared this bottle with my wife. Pours a clear red with purple tinting and no head. This is a still mead. Pleasant aroma that is filled with berries with some notes of sweet honey. The flavor is lovely with ample berries and sweet honey. The honey is clean and sweet and lacks the earthiness found in some honeys/meads. Short finish; the flavor, which initially is fairly intense, falls off quickly. Despite the sweetness, not cloying on the palate. A bit pricey at $13.99 for a 375 ml bottle. Enjoyable.
