3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It’s pale gold in color. Somewhat hazy, depending on how sediment has been kicked up. No head. Still. The aroma is grapes, tart apples, peaches, floral honey and a little bit of citrus. Nice combination of acidity and honey. Light sweetness at first, but it builds in intensity as it goes on. Tart apples with orange peel. Quite tart, particularly in the finish. Fairly dry for the abv. Full on the palate. Tasty stuff.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
$11.99 for the 375mL bottle purchased in town. To undersized snifter, it pours a whiskey reflective light yellow, some bubbles forming the top of the surface, but this is a mead after all: carbonation shouldn’t even exist. Aromas of tart green apples, clementine zest, curry, apricot, leather, and lemongrass. Tastes of Granny Smith apples, cinnamon, bananas, with an undercurrent of oak, honey, and persimmon. Similar to Kurt’s, but tarter and much drier. I liked it.

Pours clear and clean, good legs, honey and apple aroma. Great honey apple flavor, slight spice, cinnamon, vanilla not overpowering but subtle. Fantastic Cyser
