A sample at the Julios meadfest, not too much vanilla on this one. Apple is dominant

Nothing fundamentally wrong with it. It's a strong mead with a almost equal amount of apple juice, little spices but works all the way ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is off but has honey and fruit. The appearance is pale gold. The taste is sweet and pleasant. The palate is thin. Overall very good.

Bottle. Yep, this is darn tasty - crystal clear golden and still. Aroma is apples, honey, cinnamon. Flavor is sweet, but not overly so, vanilla peaks through as well as the cinnamon apple goodness. A little finishing heat gives away the 17% ABV. This is a tasty one.

Itís apple pie in mead form. Heavy dose of apples, cinnamon, vanilla. Sweet, obviously, but not overwhelming. Pretty goddamn tasty.

375 ml bottle purchased from the meadery. Clear yellow with a mild sugary film around the edge of the glass. Aroma is crisp fresh apples with honey and pie crust.

Flavor is damn near an apple pie. Sliced Apple, trace of cinnamon and light amount of booze. No alcohol burn, real sweet Apple finish. Damn nice.

Pours Crystal clear and light gold with no head. Aroma is honey foremost, apple, and spices. You can tell from the aroma that this one is blended well. Taste is initially mellow apple pie filling followed very quickly by a piecrust grain-like flavor. The finish kinda falls off with maybe some traces of spice. After just having a hearty barley wine, dessert seemed appropriate and this one fits the bill. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Again, a great accompaniment to a cool Florida day.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2014 Bottle courtesy of GT2. Pours tiny reddish golden with some nice looking legs on the glass. Smell is fruity with high quality apple cider, lemon peal, dry soil, alcohol and hints of cinnamon and honey. Taste is tiny sweet, sour, fruity and slightly spicy with honey, pie crust, smashed cider apples, lemon peal and alcohol. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, slightly tart, boozy and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, sour, fruity and tiny spicy with tart apples, lemon peal, dry soil, alcohol and hints of honey. Bit too aggressive on the alcohol but still quite tasty.

Bottle, thanks to _angst_. Clear golden color. Fruity apple aroma, overripe apples, cinnamon, honey, caramel notes. Apple flavor, caramel, honey, cinnamon, overripe apples, banana notes. Very refreshing, alcohol is incredibly well hidden.

Bottle. Pours a light amber color, aroma of apple pie, sweet, and mead. Flavor is less obviously apple pie than the aroma, and more sweet mead, but the theme is still there. Pretty hot with alcohol, some background bitterness which seems a little out of place, and a certain sting to it light slight carbonation or something. Finishes sweet with the flavors holding on. Was hoping for something a little more complex and compelling, but itís nice.
