A sample at the Julios meadfest, not too much vanilla on this one. Apple is dominant

Bottle sampled at the 2015 Cajun Cafe Cider and Mead Festival. Pours a mostly clear yellow and still. Nose is some apple, spice, vanilla, and cinnamon with mild honey notes behind. Flavor hits with light honey and vanilla with noticeable cinnamon and pie spices. Light in body and an interesting mead overall.

Sweet and elegant; smooth; this mead is true to its name, an apple pie with cinnamon, but there is no exaggeration in the usage of the spice; balanced; very pleasant.

Poured from bottle thanks Willrunforbeer. Pours clear gold with aromas of fresh apple and spices. Taste is crisp like an apple pie with well balances spice and hint of vanilla.

375mL bottle, pours a clear pale golden with a few bubbles head. Nose smells like a fresh sweet apple pie, with cinnamon, vanilla, and medium honey sweetness. Flavour brings out a lot more cinnamon upfront than on the nose, with secondary notes of vanilla and medium sweet apples. Just like an alcoholized, decadent apple pie. Complex and balanced. Excellent.

Jacksonville bottle. Pours a clear straw, yellow color with no head just some bubbles on the edges. Not much of an aroma beyond a touch of booze and light sweetness. The flavor definitely has some nice apple touches with the sweet honey. Spice and warming booze in the finish. Okay.

Bottle at the Bluebonnet Brew-Off. Poured a clear yellow with no head. Taste of sweet apples, honey and cinnamon. Medium body. Overall, far too sweet for me.

Bottle. Pours pale golden with no carbonation. Aroma is heavy spice, Apple, and mild honey. Taste is cinnamon forward, with Apple through the finish. A bit too spice heavy and very slightly cloying
