A sample at the Julios meadfest, not too much vanilla on this one. Apple is dominant

Bottle at home with my wife. Pour is crystal clear golden with great legs. Big sour apple, cinnamon, light nutmeg, vanilla, tea leaves, and bourbon in the aroma. Taste is cinnamon apple, pie crust, sweet vanilla, caramel, floral characteristics, and grass. Slick mouthfeel, and surprisingly full. Grandmas liquid apple pie - delicious.

Crazy honey, apple and spice aroma, smells like apple pie!!! The alcohol is very light in the aroma, the color is a light straw, crystall clear, and strong legs. The flavor matches the aroma, I can see why they describe this as sweet, but itís very balanced the acidity of the apple supports the honey and spices very well. Fantastic.

375ml bottle. Pours out a still golden shade. Cider apple aroma, plus cinnamon and brandy-soaked currants. Tastes like an apple pie. Picking up some vanilla in the taste but cinnamon is tougher. Long sweet honey finish. This is my first mead and it makes me want to try others.

Light golden. Aroma is beautiful sweet cinnamon mixed with stewed apple. Taste is big on the alcohol, then sweet, then some cinnamon and apple. Not overly complex on the taste, but first decent mead Iíve had and I liked it.

Brilliantly clear, with a deep straw complexity, still as a lake at first dawn. The aroma is a complex blend of apple, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla, no off notes detected. WOW the flavor backs up the aroma, deep balance of honey and apple, just the right touch of spice. This is Apple Pie in a glass!!! The alcohol is well hidden.

Bottle. Pours with a flat, clear golden hue body, with mild legs. Somewhat generic. Aromas are of lots of acid, citric, apple pie, lemon juice, fresh apple pulp, light cinnamon, mild vanilla. Tons of vanilla/vanillin. A touch of clove. Flavors are of cinnamon sticks, clove, brown sugar, apple pie juiciness, apples. Pretty sweet, syrup in side the apple pie. Tons of acid and some tannins keep it relatively in check. Dessert mead for sure, but not ridiculously decadent like some of the Polish crazies. Pretty good balance of spices, maybe a touch heavy on the cinnamon. Thick, weighted mouthfeel, flat. Solid.

Lots of apple and cinnamon, really cant taste the booze like the other meadís I sampled. Probably covered up by all the sugar. Very sweet. Insanely sweet. Tastes like an apple pie shot.

Bottle thanks to brocantsail. Pours a nice greenish yellow. Aromas of cinnamon, rich apple syrup, baked bread, and vanilla. Palate is rich and viscous, with flavors of sweet apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and honey. Decadent and very nice.
