Honey in the aroma is a touch earthy a slight richness that supports the warming alcohol notes. Crystal clear light straw color, good legs. Lots of honey in the flavor, well done, great alcohol and honey expressions that work well

Crazy intense honey smell from this one. Extremely pleasant and addicting aroma. Reeeeeally good honey taste. Very slight alcohol note but no alcohol burn. Slightly more watery than I would like in a mead.

Honey... fermented to it’s perfection, a light refreshing mead, not overly thick, has some sweetness, not at all as sweet as some I have judged. Love it.

Wild flower honey is the showcase, lots of floral notes in aroma and flavor. Crystal clear, not overly sweet, right in the middle... this is WHAT mead is meant to taste like.

Quick trip to the meadery before heading west... this has been on my todo list for some time. This mead is rich, sweet with wildflower honey, but dam is that alcohol hidden well. The sample is crystal clear, with big legs, still. Great finish, try with a sharp cheddar.

I love meads, I have been making them for years, and this is the best commercial mead in the market. The honey is light and not over powering, not super sweet, but an expression of honey that is delightful. Dam fine.

A traditional mead, with lots of floral notes, the alcohol level is well hidden, quite lovely in aroma. I enjoy the warmth, not overtly hot just warming. The flavor is all honey, not raw, but well done, some sweetness, try this with a cheese plate. Finishes a touch sweet.

No head (still). Body is medium yellow. Aroma is notes of honey, alcohol (somewhat fusel, bug spray / paint thinner), flowers, caramel, vanilla. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, flat carbonation, lightly astringent, heavily alcoholic. Some nice aromas, but they’re marred by the higher alcohols. Very sweet in the mouth, but the astringency and acidity are ample at the end to keep it drinkable (for a mead). Overall a pretty straightforward sweet example, a la Redstone, but as with all too many meads, the fusels keep it from being a winner.

It’s hard to find a mead that’s so simplistic and not so overly sweet, and did you notice the alcohol content of 15.3% wow. I tried this with some cheddar cheese and crackers, so here goes. Floral honey notes in the flavor that play well with the cheese and crackers. It’s light but not watery, the finish is a little hot but when you think of the ABV it’s really surprisingly light. Clarity was spot on brilliant, big legs and they wrap the glass.

Bottle to snifter (shared by jcwattsrugger). Looks good; a still and transparent honey. Smells solid; sweet, robust honey. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Dangerously drinkable.
