Sampled on Tap at Jupiter on 4/7/2012. This Premium Lager pours a light orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal, grainy and sweet. A medium to full bodied Premium Lager. The malts are grassy and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Nice carbonation. Silky, creamy mouthfeel. Nice full round finish. Touch of rye spiciness. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and sweet. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a touch of spiciness.

Keg at Flavour, Santa Rosa, 28/04/14. Hazed golden with a big old off whte head that retains well. Nose is orange peel, light spice, grain, malt. Taste comprises light caramel, bitter orange, straw, hint of spice, grain, pale malt base. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, light bitterness in the close. Decent enough lager.

Pours golden with fine streaming bubbles and a dense, lasting white head. The aroma is freshly baked biscuits, with touches of grass and noble hops. The flavor is grassy, grainy, and spicy. Nice full body that’s almost creamy with lots of bread and grass in the finish. Just a hint of sweet apple flavor in the front. Awesome lager.

Draft. A hazy dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of mlat, caramel, and straw as well as lighter notes of minerals that covers the teeth.

Draft @ Flavor. Pours a hazy, effervescent, tarnished-copper color; significant, textured, medium-bubbled white head with great retention and lacing; gorgeous pour. A moderate white wine note, solid mineral character, and a touch of bright citrus and a very light, clean and mildly toasty malts; a very clean yeast character, and significant hoppiness (although minerally and quiet). Medium body; lively carbonation, lightly creamy along with a soft, grainy huskiness; non-astringent / no alcohol; strong presence of toasty / husky maltiness (very toasty, in the same vein as Lunatic), a touch of vanilla-like creaminess, and a solid citrus / mineral bitterness and flavor; a gorgeous, seemingly unfiltered (the wheat aspect certainly figures in, adding some cloudiness and pleasant huskiness), charismatic lager; crisp, lively, awesome. Lasting finish of minerals, toasty malts, nicely crisp.

Tap, City Beer Store. Glowing medium gold in color with a small white head that fades mostly. Looks thick and rich for a lager. Not a big smell, but it’s all clean lager yeast and rich, fresh grain. Flavor is mostly dry with grassy hop notes. The yeast flavor dominates when the beer is cold, but as it warms up, the wonderful grain flavor comes out more. Moonlight makes the best light, pale malt flavors I’ve ever tasted. The mouthfeel is relatively thick and luxurious for a pale lager. The beer drinks very cleanly, but the feel is still quite full. Very drinkable as with all of Moonlight’s beers.

On tap at The Trappist. Pours cloudy golden with a nice off-white head and a marvelous gran aroma. There is a smooth toffee flavor with a pleasant hop bitterness and slightly sour finish.

On tap. Mostly transparent, pale brass colored body with a tall head of fizzy, brilliant white foam. Exceptionally clean, bold floral/herbal hop aroma on top of a light, bready malt base. Crisp, and borderline lemony in terms of the hop profile. Medium light bodied, crisply carbonated mouthfeel with a light, yet smooth and silky texture. The specialty grains help enhance the perception of a soft, silky mouthfeel while providing a dry drinkability. The malt profile has a complexity akin to that of a Bo Pils, only the mild complexity takes on the form of multi-grain bread as opposed to rich, pilsner malt flavors. Pleasantly subtle and complex characters derived from the nuances of the various grains. The hop flavor is crisp and bold, bringing out an assertive floral/herbal bitterness that balances the malt nicely - this trait reminds me more of a German pils. Awesome beer - cleanly executed and wonderfully creative for something seemingly so simple. This beer brings together some of the best traits of a Bo Pils and German Pils and then supplements it with some specialty grains.
