Clear golden copper with a thin foamy cap. Nice semisweet and hoppy aroma with earthy noble grassy resins and a touch of orange bitterness. The flavor is the same; orange rind bitterness, a touch of malty sweetness on the back end, nothing much in the way of complexity but it’s a solid flavorful and hearty brew with a touch of alcohol esters on the finish. Feels like the native brew of the Salida local who comes in for a pint or two.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a thin, off white head, with slight lacing, over a slightly hazy dark gold (SRM 6) body.....nose is mild toffee/caramel, hints of citrus peel and pine....taste is light toffee/caramel with medium bitterness....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation high with a big spritz. This is a light take on an APA, with the hopping medium to low within this style. It tends toward the English Pale Ale in bitterness, and is not the light hop bomb of so many in this genre.
