Little aroma, but a good looking beer with the dark brown color, nearly black. Taste was fine, but not special.

Jul 7, 2008 Coca-Cola brown beer, with neary no head. Coffee nose, soft-roasted coffee beans, sweetish. Very dry woody, tad fruity, very roasted, and really not hoppy! Coffee returning in the finish, and pine. Not very well-bodied, well-carbonated, slick. Very special, and an unbelievable treat to have it here in Belgium! Thanks, CK!

Jun 26, 2008 Draft. Bronze color with an off-white head. Rich malt aroma with ligh grass and herbs. Malty, cocoa, herbal, grassy flavor. Medium body. Lingering cocoa, malt, herbal tones, and grass. Very drinkable.

Jun 4, 2008 On tap at Toronado. This black ale poured with a decent beige head. There is a nice caramel malt flavor with some pine and banana notes and a slightly bitter finish.
ABUSEDGOAT (1872), California, USA
May 17, 2008 Draft at Toronado: dark reddish brown. Aroma is sweet malts with caramel, chocolate, molasses, light smoke. Medium bodied but very drinkable. Not bad, starting to like this brewer’s offerings.
