A dark brown porter with a thin lacing brown head. In aroma, a smooth grainy chocolate with light peaty notes and butterscotch. In mouth, a nice peaty chocolate with some lingering smokeyness, well done. On tap at brewpub, April 25 2010.

aroma is soft whiff of salty BBQ smoke, hint of offputting crunchy sweetness. flavor has sharp candy aspects besides smoke and big chocolate finish. cocoa and harsh sugary base overpower what little enjoyable smoke exists.
