3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
First rating as a resident of Chicago. I walked over to Moonshine as it is only 15 minutes from my apartment. I need some free wifi and the beer is a a bonus. Only had this and the impy on tap. Served in a small jam jar; that’s different. Aroma has strong caramel maybe butterscotch bordering on dicetyl. But sweet and ok. Body is thin and flabby even for the style. The flavor seems to have too much acidity coming off the roasted notes. Its taking on a tart characteristic making it very mineral in feel. The acidity adds to the flabbiness of the body. Feels like I am drinking coffee seltzer.
