Cask handpull, The Salmon, Leicester, 16/11/12. Grey-beige top on glossy black. Intense aroma featuring...Blackjacks, burnt cinder toffee, Neopolitan ice cream flicked with fag ash. Gritty cocoa/filter coffee dregs on palate; more Blackjack, juicy strawberry chew and blackcurrant, earthy coffee, chargrilled veg, aniseed. Black IPA in my book, if such a thing exists. Big, big bang for your ABV buck; would’ve loved another but the missus was driving and whisked me protestingly back down the 69.

Cask at Westow House, Crystal Palace. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Nice coffee, dark choc aroma. Medium body, light zingy carbonation. Dark choc, coffee, some orange, lemon, zestiness, pine, hints of dark fruit... Solid dry bitterness. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Stout mooolto luppolata ma anche moooltro caffettosa. Gusto di caffé, malti tostati, retrogusto leggermente erbaceo e buon amaro finale. Merita!

660ml bottle courtesy of JohnRMurdoch (as Moor Dark Alliance) - very dark brown near black, very strong coffee, pine aroma, then beige head, intermittent lacing, strong coffee flavour, intermingled with a potent hop bitterness, prolonged dry coffee aftertaste

Bottle. In aroma mainly dark notes, coffee mixed with hops - mainly pine. Very good appearence, dark, black body, very nice creamy, beige, long lasting head. Medium body and carbonation. In taste dark malts, nuts, chocolate and distinct roast coffee beans taste (some coffee acidity too). Finish is medium bitter. Very enjoyable.

66cl bottle @ Il Prestesto, Bologna. Thanks Michele for the share.
