3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle. Very dark brown color. Medium size, brown head, stays. Sweet, roast, malts, slightly earthy notes in aroma. Roasted malts, sour, sour milk? tree branches in taste. Rough, but gentle at the same time. Salty bitter aftertaste. Messy.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
An easy drinking porter with chocolate and coffee characters. Not a beer that I would drink too often.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Big ass 660 ml bottle. Dark brown body, medium to small head. Aroma has simple roast and something powdery. Smooth roasty taste with more dry powdery stuff. A simple session porter but outrageously priced (okay, the bottle is bigger than the standard bottle but my point stands). I couldn’t justify sessioning this or any other Moor beer even if I was a moderately wealthy guy.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Dark amber, cloudy, average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, some roasted malt and light chocolate with light hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, some roasted malt and light chocolate. Finish is short to average, malty dryish, some roasted malt and light metal, light hoppyness. Watery porter with sharp metal in the finish. Not enough roastiness and bitterness to support thin body.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
A wonderfully drinkable classic porter. Chocolate, caramel, and a smooth roasted malt. This is not a beer that is showing off, but it’s a nicely balanced porter, that us full of flavor. I could drink this all night long. When I read the stories of the old English Porters drinking after their shifts, this is the beer I imagine. Don’t know what else I could ask for.
