Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, dusty, and some dryness if you can smeel that, a bit inharmonious, moderate to light heavy hoppy, american type, shell. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (010508)

Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. Chestnut with lasting beige head. Aroma of a slightly malty bitter and it tastes like a very well made best bitter. OK malts, bit earthy. Nice malts and plenty of character. I remember thinking that I could score it higher, but just couldn’t find any reason too.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Reading Beer Festival.
Rich amber colour with a very good but thin beige head and superb condition. Beautiful sweet yeasty notes in the aroma with fantastic hoppage. Very American. Wonderful earthy peaty dryness in the mouth. Excellent balance. Pitched absolutely perfectly. Wonderful bitter then sweet then bitter finish. Very good beer.

Cask at the Turf, 2008. Deep amber / reddish color. Dry earthy aroma with a bit of caramel. Like a very hoppy amber ale. Well balanced with fruit. Rather sweet, with caramel, earth, hops. Very well done.
