Black body, big lasting beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, lots of hops (not sure how describe it, fresh and green). Some cocoa notes. Flavours of roasted malt, coffee, hops, good bitter backbone, bitter chocolate. Long roasted malt hoppy bitter and coffee bitter finish. Aftertaste of fresh grounded coffee, some astringency. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33 cl can. BBE 02/2017.
Pours dark red-brown color with a huge beige, frothy head. Aroma is roasty, some ashy coffee notes, cocoa and hops. Flavor is quite bitter with coffee, light malt roast, cocoa and again mild hops. Very light feel to it, bitterness overwhelms. Decent, though I would probably like this with a stronger malt body.

330 ml can bought at HK Brewcraft in Central.

Looks: Clear deep blackish brown colour with a cloud of misty yeast particles; Half finger head with crumpety beige foam which lasts for 90 seconds; Excellent sticky lacing and slight carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant dark malt, with fairly strong roastyness, moderate black coffee, strong cream, chocolate, sweet caramel, toffee, sugar, earth, bread, strong yeast, lemon and light grass.

Taste: Close to light sweet strong dark malt, with strong tartness, strong grapefruits, strong black coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, burnt toffee, strong burnt toast, light smoke, cream, strong floral, light molasses, earth, biscuits, yeast, strong lime, strong bitter hops and sharp grass. Pretty immense!

Body: Mid to light body. Very slick and creamy palate.

Mouth Feel: Very good dark maltyness in a thick and smooth background, despite wheaty thinning with strong tartness. Hard-hitting grapefruit followed by nice strong black coffee, burnt toast, dark chocolate, caramel and strong floral and flashes of light smoke. Sweetness is pretty light earthy and biscuit with very strong lime to round. Dynamic and tasty!

Hoppiness: Lemon and light grass in nose. Strong grapefruit, strong floral, strong lime, and sharp grass in taste; Bitterness is a strong combination of hops and burnt toast malt for a lasting, very high astringent citrusy dark malt finish.

After Taste: Dry. Creamy and strong bitter to mouth.

Comments: You just can’t go wrong with Moor Beer, do you? This one’s is hoppy as usual - for a stout! Dark maltyness, creamy body, nice black coffee, burnt toastyness, strong grapefruit and limey hops from start to end. Despite the strong wheaty tartness, it still finishes as a rich coffee stout. Need to say Moor? (sorry but I can’t help it)

330ml can. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, wonderfully lacing, beige head. Chocolately, roasty dark malty, aroma, notes of dark chocolate, hints of coffee, slightly herbal, hoppy overtones, grapefruit notes. Taste is roasty dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, hints of coffee, fruity hoppy hints of mandarine and grapefruit. Nice earthy dirtiness throughout.

Can at 4.5%. Dark brown with a hint of purple. Thin layer of light brown head. Coffee, cola, a hint of resin. Gentle sweet taste turns to a pronounced bitter in the finish. Mouthfeel is a bit thin but other than that its a lovely hoppy stout.

Can. Both aroma and taste overpowered by coffee, rough and slightly vegetably. Full bodied chewy particulate coffee. More so than beer. Good, but not to my taste and could use more balance. A lot more.
