Bottle at home. Burnt amber colour, frothy white head fades leaving good lacing. Really lovely hop nose - somewhere in between a big pineappley US hop bomb and an English session ale - lots of sweet lime, a touch of apricot, some grapefruit even, light piney sprucey notes. Palate is lovely soft woody sweetness, and then a big hop hit - definite grapefruit, slightly peachy, just a tiny splash of soapiness. Long lingering bitter finish. Really quite bitter and juicy. I’m impressed! If this truly is the new wave of English hops, I’m VERY excited.

Amber-orange colored, unclear, medium white frothy head, long lasting, nice lacing. Aroma is of caramel malt and fruity and citrusy hops. Taste is medium sweet caramalt, fruity and citrusy hops, bit peppery, somewhat harsh, medium bitterness, dry finish and lasting aftertaste. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. (can, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Keg at The Lyric, Soho. It pours hazy cloudy orange - amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, juicy, sticky fruits, tangerine, mango and candied peel. The taste is bitter, juicy, resinous, mango, apricot, pine, pepper, sticky action, some alcohol warmth, grass and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and fine prickly carbonation. A bit chewy on the mouth-feel. Rather nice overall.

On tap at Monks Cafe, Wallingatan. (thanks SaintMatty) Clear dark golden with a medium white head. Aroma of grass, fruit, citrus and some malt. About the same in the taste. On the dry side and medium bitter. Nothing sensational but drinkable.

Bottle from Chester Beer & Wine. Murky amber pour with a dissipating yet lingering off white head. Pineapple, ganja like hop and sweet malt nose. Great fullish mouthfeel. Slightly sweet flavour with tropical fruit notes of melon and grapefruit, that gives way to a steadily building hop bitterness. Robust, satisfying and lengthy finish. The Jester looks like a win on this evidence.

Bottle; gold/amber, clear, frothy white head; good peachy aroma; peachy flavour too, alongside citrus peel, salt and pepper; very bitter; fizzy; much too aggressively bitter in my book, only partially saved by the hop flavour; didn’t enjoy it, which I’m sad to say as a bit of a Moor fan.
