This is the fusion of young and old, grain and fruit, tradition and innovation. We skillfully blended this vintage from our Old Ale matured in barrels previously used to age Somerset Cider Brandy. The result is stunning - a drink of huge depth and complexity.

660ml bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Aged for around 4 years. Inky black with a thin tan head of foam. It has a very rich spicy red fruit, chocolate and apple flavour, liquorice and oak notes followed by coffee, plum and currants on the smooth finish. Excellent!

Brown almost black with a small, almost non tan head. Aroma of wood, cider, vanilla, cold coffe, chocolate. Mouthfeel creamy at start, but more watery thereafter. Taste of bitter licorine ( Oliver Twist), prunes, coffe, buned malt, cinamon. An exciting beer.

660ml bottle. Quasi black colour with late awakening, small, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Nuttily, chocolately, roasty dark malty and fruity aroma, a cautious touch of hootch (probably due to the Cider Brandy). Taste is slightly sweet chocolately malty, hints of leather, ever increasing nutty and nougat notes, some treacle, mildly tart fruit acid counterweight. Rich and complex, diversified.

Una birra intrigante fin dal primo sorso, impenetrabile, intensa, ricca di note calde, leggermente fruttate, di bacche, che si protende fino al retrogusto lungo e morbido. Davvero divina, memorabile!
