Cask, Special;
What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

Can at home, thanks to TheBottleShop. Piney, floral, lots of oranges, tropical fruits and light bittereness, not overwhelming. Very easy to drink, and fruity IPA. Lovely.

330 ml. can. BBF 08/2016. Clear golden, creamy egg-white head. Nose is mellow melon hop, flowers, light citrus plus reasonably big milky yeast. Milky body. Bit yeasty, milky, white bread, mellow, lightly sweetish, flowers, melon, mellow citrus. Nice but a bit too yeasty & the hops are too mellow. Drinks nicely still. Not excellent.

Can at M-café, Leuven. Delicious aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus, some pine resin, fresh juicy hops. Flavour is lightly sweet and medium to heavy bitter. Body is medium, good balance. This is my kind of IPA, lots of rich fruits and hops. I?d love to drink Moor of this.

2015-10-05. Hazy orange body, moderate off-white beige head fades. 3+ Aroma is pleasant, green hops and resiny orange citrus. Flavour is similar, moderate bitterness throughout, green leafy hops, resiny lightly oily orange citrus. Average plus bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Enjoyable but I suspect the hops pop a bit more on tap or in a fresher can. Can from Small Bar, Bristol.

Can from Bottle Baron, Edin. Pours hazy. Copper. Fluffy white head. Solid hop aroma. A tad underwhelming but full of fun nonetheless. Caramelised orange. Mango and papaya. Spicy, peppery notes. Good lacing in the glass. Medium to light carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. Taste is really juicy with peach. Definite mango. Some pithy orange rind. Medium bitterness and a palate-sharpening finish. Proper

Can in the Trembling Madness, York. Hazy amber with a frothy cream head. Nice pine aroma with maybe a touch of aniseed. The taste is nice and bitter with moderate spice and lots of pine. Caramel underlies. Very refreshing and drinkable. Excellent.
