Cask, Special;
What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

Worth every penny! Hazy amber with spumey white head and tropical mango and tangerine on the nose. Underneath is that dusty hop pellet herbal aroma that sticks to your hands when you crumble any hop. Lime pith and slightly chalky yeastiness, followed by a lupulin hit and long fresh squeezed citrus finish. Very drinkable, light carbonation and full bodied.

Sweet, fruity nose with candied gooseberry, musk sticks and mango. Hugely broadly hopped flavour with excellent balance of bittersweet hoppy astringency and sweet molasses malts. Finish is more of the same - spiced orange notes with chewy, umbrous esthers rounding it out. Very nice.

Aroma: Plenty of hops on the nose, it gets you excited for whats to come. Palate & Taste: Really smooth, alcohol hidden, plenty of hops in the taste as well, and quite bitter. Very good beer, would love to get a chance at this one again

Pours pale amber with a fading head. Nose shows some fruity hops along with pine and resinous notes. Also some floral characters and clean malt. Fairly aggressive flavours. Big pine and grapefruit notes with accompanying sharp bitterness. Some biscuity malt underneath. Could use a bit more carbonation.

Bottle. Slightly hazy orange pour, thin white head. Slight spice, pine, pithy juicy grapefruit nose. Similar flavours, lovely crackly spicy grapefruit running through it with a soft puckering bitterness. Good carbonation. Nice.
