COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Special;
What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

660ml bottle @ home. Ordered from Ales By Mail. Aroma reminds me about forest after rain, quite nice look, refreshing taste after 5 days antibiotics cure :-) Pretty easy IPA. This bottle size is the best!

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2016 Tap at Salon piva. Slightly alcoholey, but otherwise fine, mostly hoppy and bitter, grassy herbal hoppiness, slightly spicy. Too warming for me.

Tried from can, poured into Teku. Reminds me a lot of Stone’s IPA. Lovely rich amber in colour with a nice thick head. The pallet, mix of big hop resin flavours, stone fruits and pine. Finish big and bitter...I’ll be back

Can at home. Pours a hazy dark orange with an off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, grass, bubble gum, ammonia and orange peel. Flavour of pine, grapefruit, pepper and some apricot. A little dry in the end. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a medium bitterness. A solid IPA with a little fruity touch. Well-balanced.

Can 330ml . In a tulip . A r8 , this is better than my previous 17 cans of this last weekend - maybe because its 11:am and I’m gettin’ tipsy to make hanging with my family a more bearable prospect . Nose of fleshy grapefruit - juicy like a wet beaver . pine , spice , wood , light kiss of malt richness , a tad dank and funky - like Orval hop resemblance . A bright orange colour with sediment swimming around , good creamy foam . A good IPA - very drinkable , crisp , dry and aromatic . I love that grapefruit hop texture .

Keg @ Six North, Edinburgh. Pours golden biggish white head. Nose is resin, grapefruit, orange and some pepper. Taste is very much the same with a big hop forward taste a slightly sweet finish.
