Cask, Special;
What started out as a little bit of fun quickly became the favourite of many die hard ale fans and has become permanent. Probably best described stylistically as a Californian IPA, this beer has all the rich malt and fruit flavours of a Barley Wine combined with the hoppy crispness of a Pale Ale. And as best said by one of its biggest fans, "Hoppiness = Happiness."

Birra davvero fatta bene. Bevuta in bottoglia nella Birroteca Vaffalluppolo a Fermo (Italia)

By ’eck this is a good ’un! From whiff to slurp definitely in the West Coast US mould. Strong herbal presence - exceptional balance with sweet malt. Bootiful hop heaven.

Hazy orange with a beautiful, large, cream head. Grapefruit and pine in the nose. Rich of flavours in the palate: grapefruit, pine, malts and great hoppiness. Barley wineish, full body, gorgeous IPA. Socks off!

Worth every penny! Hazy amber with spumey white head and tropical mango and tangerine on the nose. Underneath is that dusty hop pellet herbal aroma that sticks to your hands when you crumble any hop. Lime pith and slightly chalky yeastiness, followed by a lupulin hit and long fresh squeezed citrus finish. Very drinkable, light carbonation and full bodied.

Keg at Three Tuns, Bristol. Absolutely belting/blinding etc. The hops are MASSIVE and clean. Beautiful. This chimes like a bell.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2016 IPA muy buena. Tiene aroma un tanto frutal, pero predomina el cítrico. Cuerpo medio. Sabor estupendo a lúpulo. Muy buena, pero muy cara.

Juicy sweet marmalade, hop resin, citrus and tropical fruit, beautiful mouthfeel, long resiny finish held up with some assertive malt. Dry hopped version is awesome. Moreish and complex.

Bottle, Coppers, Newcastle. Lovely pale colour, white foaming head. Beautiful fresh pine hop, peach and mango notes too. Soft on the tongue, biscuit, peaches and cream flavours, with a full bodied resinous finish, with woody flavours creeping in to round off a stunning beer.

Tried from can, poured into Teku. Reminds me a lot of Stone’s IPA. Lovely rich amber in colour with a nice thick head. The pallet, mix of big hop resin flavours, stone fruits and pine. Finish big and bitter...I’ll be back

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2013 66cl bottle (6.7% ABV). Pours hazy amber with thin clean white head - light lacing throughout. Aroma is a brilliant hop hit full of citrus (grapefruit, lime), tropical fruit notes, and pine resin; light caramel malt sweetness in the background. Taste is another showcase of wonderfully fresh Pacific Northwest hop character - pine, bitter pithy grapefruit, lime, orange peel, an almost menthol-like freshness. Assertive grapefruit and lime-driven bitterness - hop oils coat the mouth fully. Deliciously crisp and dry finish. Perfect carbonation. This is a world class IPA for sure.
